Cherbourg Shopping Markets

Place de Gaulle:

Close to the Theatre and fountain, you will find Cherbourg market days on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

They bring customers from miles around, to buy a huge selection of fresh produce and other goods.

Cherbourg Old Town:

There are also fish and open-air markets in the heart of the Old Town - La Vielle Ville - a few minutes walk from the waterfront.

Shopping areas:

The main shopping area lies just behind the waterfront, in the Old Town, where a maze of narrow cobbled streets, many pedestrianised, are packed with specialist food and wine shops, café bars, restaurants, fashion boutiques and gift shops.

Department store:

EuroDif is the largest department store in the region, a few yards from the main square.

Its three floors are packed with a huge selection of the finest French merchandise including clothing, accessories, lots of fabrics and haberdashery, glasses, crockery, cutlery, bed and table linen, candles and lots of other home wear.
